Six Things to Put You in the Halloween Mood for SPOOKY SEASON!
Hello, Ghouls and Gals!
Nicole here, reminding you that it’s October and that Spooky Season is officially upon us. Don’t let it pass you by without making the absolute most you can of it, this most glorious of time of year!
What can you do, you ask to feast on every last ounce of marrow in the very bones of the days? Good question.
1 – Plan haunting activities with friends – Get together with your pack, tribe, coven (or just get the girls-or boys) and take a costumed tour of your city’s most haunted locations-bars, restaurants, lumber yards, etc.! Have a look around, most pubs, clubs, and bars offer something special (like live music or other seasonal themed activities) and they usually aren’t shy about getting the word out. Just remember that we, in 2021, are still in the time of plague and suffering, so pay special attention to social distancing and mask guidelines in your locale.
2 – Make a spooky playlist – if you use iTunes, Spotify, or just old-fashioned MP3s you can organize a playlist of song that inspire or invoke the feeling of the season, or even call you back to Halloween’s past. Don’t be shy while rocking out to the likes of Cry Little Sister from The Lost Boys soundtrack; scream along out your car window while completing daily activities (with, of course, an eye to personal safety and noise ordnances).

3– Keep the mood in mind throughout your day (or night) with horror audio drama podcasts – Spotify, iTunes, Stitcher, Audible, and many more podcast platforms offer the very best in thrills and chills for your mind that you can take with you on the go, in headphones or over car audio. After all, it’s the sounds of the season that often serve to keep that icy chill deep down in your black, black heart… a feeling we can work to keep year-round.

5 – Seasonal shopping outings! (Nicole’s pick) – What puts me in the spooky season the most is going to all the stores and seeing all the Halloween decorations & decorating my home, costumes, and of course going to Pumpkin patches! I am one of those girls that loves pumpkin everything! #Pumpkinslut Not ashamed of it at all, but I do love some good Apple Cider too!! Here in my hometown, there is a local farm that serves apple cider slushies. If you didn’t think you could get apple cider could get any better, you need to try it in slushie form and make sure its local. #Supportsmallbusiness
